That is what Leon tells about us

Leon Lammers

Trainee Industrial business management assistant

Part of KURO-TEAM since:

01.08.2019

A Describe yourself briefly and tell us about your tasks at KURO.

I am Leon, 20 years old and from Westerstede. I am currently in my second year of training as an Industrial business management assistant. During my training periods, I go through all departments of KURO and get to know all areas from warehouse to accounting. Depending on the department, I have many different tasks: everything from order processing to purchasing, warehouse, logistics and sales to work in the human resources department and the planning of social media posts.

What makes an apprenticeship at KURO so exciting?

After a short time, I was allowed to work on my own. In addition, every week I have new and varied tasks. Especially exciting are projects such as the creation of the Facebook page, in which I was allowed to participate.

What was your highlight so far?

My highlight was the set-up of the KURO social media page at Facebook. In this project, I learned a lot about the company and was able to decide the design on my own. Especially planning the posts was very exciting. For example, I created and published a post about the construction of our new warehouse and a job advertisement for the search for new employees.

That is what Jannik tells about us

Jannik Schulte

Former trainee - Warehouse logistics specialist

Part of KURO-TEAM since:

01.08.2018

Describe yourself briefly and tell you about your tasks at KURO.

I am Jannik, 21 years old and I did my apprenticeship as warehouse logistics specialist at KURO from 2018 to 2020. I am now responsible for order picking and the packaging of customer orders, the loading and unloading of lorries and the warehouse movement of our goods.

What made an apprenticeship at KURO so exciting?

The multitude of possibilities that KURO offers trainees both inside and outside the company is quiet exciting. Within the company, I had the opportunity to learn how to use the computer-aided storage software and to use it later. Since I was employed in the production and extrusion departments during my training, I was able to quickly get an accurate overview all the products and solutions KURO offers. In cooperation with my vocational training school, KURO has enabled me to complete the additional qualification "IHK (chamber of commerce) Specialist for Import and Export" and an internship abroad in Norway.

Why have you decided to continue working at KURO?

KURO offers a clear perspective for the future – this is what convinced me the most. Since August 2020 I have been attending the Master School and am being trained as a logistics master (IHK). In addition, there are quite flat hierarchies at KURO, which has a very positive effect on cooperation and simplifies working.
