UN Global Compact

The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) encourages and supports companies worldwide to commit to more sustainable and responsible business practices. Based on ten universal principles and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the areas of human rights, labor standards, environmental protection and anti-corruption, the UNGC provides a framework for aligning business activities with the values of the United Nations and making a positive contribution to global development.

Our company is proud to support the UNGC and actively implement its principles. We integrate them into our business strategy and daily operations to ensure a positive impact on society and the environment. We strive to support the UNGC's global goals for sustainable development and to establish our company as a driving force for social progress and environmental protection.

We developed our sustainability strategy as part of our materiality analysis and the associated stakeholder survey. The goals set out in this strategy aim to make a significant contribution to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. Our focus is particularly on the following five SDGs:

Our sustainability strategy is an integral part of our management system and the company's overall strategy. By regularly reviewing and updating it, we ensure that it is continuously adapted to our long-term corporate goals and the changing external requirements of our stakeholders. The strategy is focused on three central areas of action.

" Our sustainability strategy places a strong focus on people and their needs. We firmly believe that our success is closely linked to the well-being of our employees, customers and communities. We are committed to ensuring safe and healthy working conditions, promoting diversity and inclusion and offering fairly remunerated jobs. We invest in the potential of our employees through training and development opportunities. We are also actively involved in social projects and support charitable organizations.

People

" Protecting our planet is a key concern for us. We measure the greenhouse gas emissions associated with our business activities and continuously work to reduce them. Our measures include reducing energy consumption, expanding our own renewable electricity generation through photovoltaics to 1.3 MWp, and considering environmental aspects in procurement and disposal. We additionally compensate for emissions that we cannot currently avoid by supporting selected climate protection projects.

Planet

" As a manufacturer of plastic pipes, we consider sustainability to be an essential part of our product strategy. PVC is a sustainable plastic that plays an important role in a circular economy. Our commitment to the circular economy is evident in every step of our production process. We create closed material loops and design our products for a long life and easy recyclability.
