At KURO, we consistently pursue our energy goals. We determine our CO2 emissions by regularly preparing a Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF), which is calculated on the basis of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
In environmental protection, the focus is on energy efficiency and increased use of renewable energies. Unavoidable emissions are offset through CO2 compensation. With recognized climate protection projects, we support, among other things, the planting of new forests in Brazil, the construction of efficient cooking stoves in Honduras and the construction of biomass power plants in Chile.
In addition, we are continuously identifying new savings potential to meet the challenges of climate change.
